The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sherman Town Hall.

Members present: Lee Ellis Bill Benson Cheryl Swenson and Robin Berg.

Members absent: Gerry Karpen.

Ellis called the meeting to order.

Others present: Garrick Moritz.

Approval of the Agenda: Motion by; Ellis, second by; Benson.

ROUTINE BUSINESS:

Minutes of the May 3, 2015 meeting was approved as read, Motion by; Ellis, Second by; Benson.

The treasurer’s report was approved as read, Motion by; Ellis, Second by; Benson.  

CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID: Xcel Energy, street light $262.09 park light $18.32 town hall lights; $24.88; Minnehaha Community Water, May water $30.00; Garretson Gazette, April. min. $21.45, Bill Benson, 4x mowing $160.00; Clay Bonte, 5x mowing $175.00; Darrin Trower,5x mowing $200.00; Robin Berg, 5x mowing $150.00; Jesse James, 12.1 gals of gas $24.24; JSR LLS, fix meter $102.04; John’s Repair, repairs on grader $236.84; Robin Berg, salary $250.00, dehumidifier $83.98 ; Cheryl Swenson, salary $250.00; Bill Benson, 4 meetings $100.00; Gerry Karpen, 6 meetings $150.00; Lee Ellis, 5 meetings $150.00;

OLD BUSINESS: 

Benson nominated Ellis for President, second by; Ellis, with a vote of 2 yes, motion carried.

Playground Equipment- We will be seeking items for the auction (and silent auction) on July 30th. Donated items can be new or gently used, large or small, everything is welcome and appreciated.

Bullet Malt Beverage License, Ellis made a Motion, to approve Malt Beverage License, second by; Benson. With a vote of 2 ayes, motion carried.

Spraying Mosquitoes, planning to start spraying weekly.

NEW BUSINESS:

Water Truck/Tabled

Ellis made a Motion, to approve tree trimming for the City of Sherman, Sherman will pay for street to be trimmed, residents can get yards done at $50.00 a hour, dates set for July 8^th, 9^th and 10^th, second by; Benson. With a vote of 2 yes, motion carried. Please call Ellis to set up time for your yard 605-261-5874
