The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday Nov. 6 , 2018 @7:30 pm.

Members present: Lee Ellis, Gerry Karpen, Darren Trower, and Cheryl Swenson.

Others present: Kara Duncan, Kristy Trower and Ellen Karpen.

Ellis called the meeting to order.

Routine Business:

Approval of the agenda: motion by Karpen, 2nd by Trower-3 ayes

Minutes of the Oct meeting were read and approved. Motion by Karpen, 2nd by Trower-3 ayes

Treasurers report was read and approved. Motion by Karpen, 2nd by Trower-3 ayes

Claims approved to be paid: Minnehaha Community Water $30.00 for water, DBA Braun Farms $225.00 for mosquito spray, Garretson Gazette $24.00 Sept minutes and $87.75 appropriation 2019, VanDyke Sanitation $24.00 trash, SDML $561.00 2019 work comp, Bill Benson $40.0 1x mowing, Xcel Energy $264.86 street lights, $28.45 park lights and $34.64 town hall lights, Lowe Sand & Gravel $6,706.33 work and dirt fill, Robin Berg $30.00 1x mowing, SDML $86.08 annual dues for 2019.

Old Business:

1.Planning Commission and Comprehensive Zoning plan-Kristin is our contact person-checking to see if Saturday’s will work

New Business:

1.MCEDA- Gerry is currently on this committee but would like to retire. Looking for someone to take over for him. They meet every 3rd weds of the month @ 11:30 to 12:30 in the afternoon in the downtown area.

2. Sherman Cemetery update- found the cemetery plot map- the cemetery was taken over in 1995 by Minnehaha County Abandon Cemetery Ass.

3.Work Comp- Karpen and Swenson met with the work comp guy. Grant Duncan will be added on as a volunteer grader operator.

4.Bullet’s Alcoholic Beverage License date is set for weds Nov. 21 @7:30pm at the Sherman Town Hall.

5. Bill Benson lost a hose and all his hydraulic fluid while doing the tree burn pile. Motion by Karpen to pay for hose and fluid, 2nd by Trower-3 ayes

Motion to adjorn by Karpen, 2nd by Trower-3 ayes. Next regular meeting will be Dec 11 @7:30pm.
