The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, September 3, 2013, 7:30 p.m. at the Sherman Town Hall with Lee Ellis presiding.

Members present: Gerry Karpen, Bill Benson, Cheryl Swenson and Robin Berg

Members Absent; Lee Ellis

Others present: Ellen Karpen and Kara Duncan

ROUTINE BUSINESS: Minutes of the August 6, 2013, meeting were approved as read, with the correction of the date, Motion by; Karpen, second by; Benson.

The treasurer’s report was approved as read. Motion by; Karpen, second by; Benson.

CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID: Xcel Energy, street light $254.73; park light $18.00; town hall light $35.33; Minnehaha Community Water, Aug. water $25.00; Joel Swenson 4x mowing $100.00; Lucas Swenson 4x mowing $120.00; Robin Berg 4x mowing $120.00; Bill Benson 3x mowing $120.00; Lacey Rentals, portable restroom $115.00; Gerry Karpen, bouncy house, cake, chips, snow con. $555.60; Garretson Food Center, food for the 125^th celebration $394.96; Coca-cola, pop and cups $61.01; Cheryl Swenson, charcoal $21.07 and printer ink $15.87.

OLD BUSINESS:

Taking bids for a LaFrance pumper fire truck; the fire truck is a 1970 LaFrance pumper with a 400 gallon water tank. It runs and the tires are up. Please call one of the Sherman Town Board Members to see the LaFrance. Please bring bids to the next meeting.

1. Dan Ransom, Backed out on his bid, Benson will contact the other bidder.

2. Snow Plow, plan to get it fixed, fuel tank.

3. Alley, gravel is will be put on alley at 1^st and Packard.

4. First reading of Ordinance #2012-1.

5. Door on Town Hall, Benson will pick one up.

6. Zoning laws, Sherman Town Board will be updating the Zoning Ordinance’s for the Town of Sherman.

NEW BUSINESS: No new Business.
