The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sherman Town Hall.

Members present: Gerry Karpen, Bill Benson, Cheryl Swenson and Robin Berg

Members absent: Lee Ellis

Karpen called the meeting to order

Others present: Tom Godbey , Ellen Karpen, Kara Duncan, and Toby Brown, SECOG

Approval of the Agenda: Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson.

ROUTINE BUSINESS:

Minutes of the August4, 2015, meeting were approved as read. Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson

The treasurer’s report was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson.  

CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID: Xcel Energy, street light $263.94; park light $28.20 town hall lights; $18.40; Minnehaha Community Water, August water $30.00; Anderson Publications, July min. $24.43, Sealed bids, jail; Grant Duncan, cleaning culverts $30.00; Zach Swenson, 2hrs roof $24.00; Lucas Swenson, 2rs roof $24.00; Bill Benson, 3x mowing $120.00, cleaning culverts $30.00; Robin Berg, 4x mowing $120.00 roof sealer $19.65; Clay Bonte, 3x mowing $90.00;

OLD BUSINESS:

Sherman Jail will not be sold

Spraying roads, Hold Harmless Agreement was signed

Annual budget Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson for the Second reading of the Ordinance 2015-1, 2016 annual budget.

Damage to the Sherman Slide in Strom Park/Tabled

NEW BUSINESS:

New playground Equipment, Motion by; Karpen, to nominate Robin Berg as chairman for park comity, Second by; Benson vote of 2eyes and 0 nays, motion carried

Bullet address (Should be 125 Zeliff Ave.) Karpen has emailed 911/Tabled

SDML 2016 renewal worksheet, Karpen will fill out and get it mailed

Date on Proposed Agenda should have been Sep. 1^st 2015
