The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sherman Town Hall.

Members present: Lee Ellis, Gerry Karpen, Bill Benson, Cheryl Swenson and Robin Berg.

Ellis called the meeting to order.

Others present: Garrick Moritz, Leif Moritz and Ellen Karpen.

Approval of the Agenda: Motion by; Karpen, second by; Ellis.

ROUTINE BUSINESS: Minutes of the June 7, 2016 meeting was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Ellis.

SPECIAL SESSION MEETING: Minutes of the June 13, 2016 meeting was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Ellis.

The treasurer’s report was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson.  

CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID: Xcel Energy, street light $261.48 park light $18.28 town hall lights; $32.67; Minnehaha Community Water, June water $35.00; Garretson Gazette, June min. $19.96, Bill Benson, 3x mowing $120.00; Clay Bonte, 4x mowing $140.00; Darrin Trower,4x mowing $160.00; Robin Berg, 4x mowing $120.00; Bill Benson, 1 meetings $25.00; Gerry Karpen, 1 meetings $25.00, zoning salary $100.00; Lee Ellis, 1 meetings $30.00; Department of Revenue $150.00; Judy Ellis, flowers Roger DeBates $42.60;

OLD BUSINESS:

Playground Equipment- We will be seeking items for the auction (and silent auction) on July 30th. Donated items can be new or gently used, large or small, everything is welcome and appreciated.

Spraying Mosquitoes, Karpen received a grant from South Dakota Department of Health for $752.00.

NEW BUSINESS:

Report was presented to the Board by Berg, Revenue and Expenditures for July 2015 to June 2016.

Motion by; Karpen, to pay bills for the park fundraiser as they come in second by; Ellis.

Motion by; Ellis to adjourn, second by Benson,
