The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, July 11, 2017.

Members present: Lee Ellis, Gerry Karpen, Bill Benson, Cheryl Swenson and Robin Berg.

Others present: Brian Matson.

Ellis called the meeting to order.

Approval of the Agenda: Motion by; Karpen, second by; Benson.

ROUTINE BUSINESS: Minutes of the June 6, 2017 meeting was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson.

The treasurer’s report was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson.

CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID: Xcel Energy, street light $276.40, park light $18.31 town hall lights $31.54; Minnehaha Community Water, July water $30.00; Garretson Gazette, June min. $30.42;; Darrin Trower, 3x mowing $120.00; Clay Bonte, 3x mowing $ 105.00; Bill Benson, 3x mowing $120.00: Robin Berg, 4x mowing $120.00: Gerry Karpen, road grader blade $202.10; Menards, 2 pallets of cement $333.16, 1 pallet of cement $128.79; Department of Revenue, alcoholic beverage license $150.00; The Bullet, $32.00;

OLD BUSINESS: Collapsing structure; Karpen gave a short update on the situation with the property at Lot 7, Block 7, address 110 Zeliff. Property owners would sign papers to get the building to be taken down and will begin the proposed paper work. Motion by; Ellis to approve to proceed with the paper work, Second by; Benson, with a vote of 3 yes motion carried.

New Playground; Grand Opening set for Sherman Picnic, date is set for Sunday Sep. 3rd 2017,

Strom Park work day, Sunday July 30^th, at 8:00 a.m. Bring paint rollers and brushes.

Spraying Mosquitoes; spraying weekly, Saturdays’ 2 at this time.

Open floor: Ellis add that most of the $1500.00 gravel will be gone with 1 more load, Ellis Motion to approve $1000.00 to finesse of the north and south roads, stopping at 1^st street. Second by; Benson to order $1000.00 of gravel for roads with a vote of 3 yes, motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Berg presents proposed Revenue and Expenditures from July 2016 to June 2017.

Motion by; Ellis to adjourn, second by Karpen,
