The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

Members present: Gerry Karpen, Bill Benson, Cheryl Swenson and Robin Berg.

Members absent: Lee Ellis.

Others present: Linda and Robert Askren.

Karpen called the meeting to order.

Approval of the Agenda: Motion by; Karpen, second by; Benson.

ROUTINE BUSINESS: Minutes of the April 4, 2017 meeting was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson.

The treasurer’s report was approved as read, Motion by; Karpen, Second by; Benson.

CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID: Xcel Energy, street light $266.25, park light $18.54 town hall lights $40.74; Minnehaha Community Water, May water $30.00; Garretson Gazette, March min. $11.56, Board of equalization $11.56, equalization min. $3.27, annual report $123.20; Cheryl Swenson, ink & file folders $23.91; Bill Benson, 1x mowing $40.00: Robin Berg, 2x mowing $60.00;

OLD BUSINESS: Collapsing structure; After some discussion, Bill Benson made a motion to proceed with condemnation of the property located at; Lot 7 Block 7, 110 Zeliff Ave. Motion approved vote of 2 ayes, 0 nays.

New Playground is in! We will be setting up times to assemble the new park. We will need two full days; it would be on a weekend. Please call if you would like to help. 605-594-3757.

NEW BUSINESS: Gerry Karpen was sworn in as Trustee; 2 years.

Ellis absent from meeting to take the oath of office and was subsequently sworn in on May 15th, 2017.

Appoint Board President/Tabled.
